My new computer
10-Feb-2008
Just bought a new computer. This is odd, given it's a Sunday afternoon and I haven't gone outside. It's a new Mac and I ordered it off the Apple website. 2.8GHz Intel Dual Core processor, 24" screen, 1TB of storage and 4GB of RAM. Wheee.
Best thing of all is I received education discount and was able to choose a free iPod to go with it. So one 8GB iPod touch is heading my way.
So, of course, I'll be a much better writer as a result. Sadly, no. But it'll give me something new to play with.

Everyone needs a new toy now and then... You must have been a good boy lately???
BTW, I saw clouds over New Zealand on the Weather Channel, does this mean you have rain?? I've been very worried about you, after all, three months of drought can be very draining to the soul! (OK, getting back in box now *grin*)

It sprinkled for about an hour and a half this afternoon. That's it. Sadly.
Hi Russell,
Nice new toy, but software is the way to go if you are looking for assistance with your writing.
Have you looked at Scrivener?
Its a nice object-oriented application built for writers by a writer and its Mac native.
Have a look. http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.html
Of course Word is still the best interchange format, but Scrivener does output in MS Word format.
Caveat: I have nothing to do with Scrivener, but I am a happy user.

Huzzah for new computers and fellow Mac users. That iPod Touch should be fun to play with too. *g*
Enjoy your toys!
Enjoy your toys!
The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.
The iPod Touch has arrived, and I have filled it up just with my music videos. Hmmm. I wonder what I can use it for ...
I'm so jealous. Or maybe not, my little iMac is doing me just fine!
