Today in the Russell Universe a law was passed called the 'Impeding Traffic' law. All vehicles with clear road ahead but at least four vehicles trapped behind them must pull over at the earliest safe opportunity and let the trapped vehicles past. Failure to comply will result in instant confiscation of vehicle.
The inhabitants of the Russell Universe cheered.

always grateful when the quarry trucks pull over to let the cars stuck behind them pass. Occasionally Granny wants to find a way to make common courtesy part of the actual road rules.

How about one for when your driving on the speed limit and some fool is about a foot off your bumper, the penalty being hung by your thumbs x
Yes, there should definitely be a no-go zone behind moving vehicles. Perhaps a solution of concentrated sulphuric acid could be held in suspension behind vehicles, ready to burst over anyone coming too close.
It is nice when people show a little common courtesy, but I'm continually astonished at the lack of awareness people exhibit in public. A small action on their part costs someone else dearly, but they do it anyway.

Sorry, not even looking at them yet, Russell. My agent is already sending hopeful inquiries about when she is going to see book 2 of my latest and I can't answer her. And I know darn well that if I start reading your stuff, I would NEVER get mine finished until I had read every word.
