'Path of Revenge' wins Sir Julius Vogel award
[Posted 24-Mar-2008]The Sir Julius Vogel award winners (New Zealand's Science Fiction and Fantasy awards) were announced at the last night of the Conjunction NatCon in Wellington. Path of Revenge won the Best Novel - Adult award against seven other nominees.
Russell was pleased not only to win the award, but also with the standard of the nominees. It contained books that have been on the New York Times bestseller list, and a novel by the daughter of Maurice Gee.

The media has really picked up on my success - mostly as a result of last year's stint in the shop window! I was interviewed by Radio New Zealand's Bryan Crump, and the interview can be listened to here:

'Dark Heart' now available in Australia
[Posted 13-Feb-2008]'Dark Heart', Book 2 of the 'Husk' trilogy, was released in Australia in February 2008.
It should be available in all retail bookstores. If your store doesn't have it, they'll order it for you. Some stores have sold out, as it reached number 6 on Dymock's SFF Top Ten in its first week on sale.
'Dark Heart' should be available in New Zealand early next month, and in the UK later this year.
