Three continents
(Click on the image to see a larger version)
Here's the mega map of my world, all three continents.
Russell is considering including it in Path of Revenge and would like to know:
- is it readable?
- is the level of detail right? Should there be more? Less? (Remember it has to fit into two pages of a book.)
- is the environmental layer of any use? Does it give you a sense of what types of landscape/countryside are in this world? Or is it an icky distraction?
- should there be shading to show the mountains?
- does putting a whole world map in a book reduce the sense of mystery? Tolkien used to argue that hinting at a wider expanse was better than showing it all.
We'd love to hear your comments.
